On October 22, 2024, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Jurakhonzoda Saodat Jurakhon, met with a delegation from the Hungarian Migration Research Institute, Ms. Blanca Kovacs and Mr. Mark Vargha.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Hungary.
At the beginning, Deputy Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Jurakhonzoda Saodat Jurakhon welcomed the guests and briefly spoke about the main directions of the informational, analytical and scientific-research activities of the Center.
It was noted that the Center for Strategic Research is a state forecasting and analytical institution, the main function of which is analytical, research and expert support for the activities of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in strategic areas of domestic and foreign policy of the state. Along with this, the Center regularly conducts sociological research, which allows employees to receive direct information about the opinions and expectations of citizens. The Center’s sociological research covers a wide range of topics, including the current state and prospects of migration processes in Tajikistan.
Then Jurakhonzoda Saodat Jurakhon positively assessed the friendly relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and Hungary and mentioned that their further development meets the interests of both countries.
In turn, Blanca Kovacs expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and provided brief information about the activities of the Hungarian Migration Research Institute.
Blanca Kovacs called the purpose of her visit to Tajikistan to familiarize herself with the situation of labor migration in the republic and exchange views with Tajik experts and identify key directions in which Hungary could expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Tajikistan in the future.
In continuation of the meeting, the parties also expressed a desire to establish and develop scientific and analytical cooperation between the research centers of both countries.
Cooperation in the field of labor migration, tourism, and the organization of direct routes were also assessed as promising and priority areas of cooperation.
The meeting was held in the spirit of sincerity, mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
