On September 2, 2024, the Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Usmonzoda Khairiddin, held a meeting with the Regional Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia, Andre Algermissen.
At the beginning of the meeting, Director Usmonzoda Khairiddin welcomed the guest to Tajikistan and congratulated him on his appointment as the Regional Representative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia, wishing him great success in his future activities.
The director then emphasized the important role of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in strengthening regional and global political cooperation, particularly in creating a reliable platform for discussing a range of regional issues.
It was noted that the Center is committed to continuing its active work with the Foundation and is interested in constructive cooperation and maintaining a continuous dialogue aimed at deepening multilateral regional cooperation.
In turn, Andre Algermissen expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and noted that he highly appreciates the Center’s efforts to study current regional and interregional issues. Andre Algermissen emphasized that the purpose of his visit is to further strengthen cooperation with the Center for Strategic Research and exchange views on the implementation of joint projects related to the Central Asian region.
During the meeting, both parties positively assessed the joint cooperation within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2023. The participants expressed hope that cooperation between the Center for Strategic Research and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Central Asia will contribute to further enhancing mutual understanding between the countries of the region, as well as help stimulate joint actions to address common challenges.
Continuing the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of their relationship and prospects for its development, exchanging views on important issues in the Central Asian region, including security, the fight against terrorism and international extremism, the green economy, climate change, and other pressing issues.
The meeting was held in a spirit of sincerity, mutual understanding, and constructive dialogue.
