On June 24, 2024, in the State Institution «National Library» within the framework of the conference organized by the SCR under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan entitled «Tajikistan-China: the state and prospects of a comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era», a presentation of the books «Tajikistan and China: from historical friendship to strategic partnership» and «Tajikistan and China: from historical friendship to strategic partnership» Tajikistan — China: 30 years of fruitful cooperation» was held.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Tajikistan, representatives of ministries and departments, research institutes, scientists and specialists of Tajikistan and China, as well as media representatives.
Director of the SCR under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Khayridin Usmonzoda opened the event with an opening speech.
During his speech, he welcomed the guests and noted that the SCR under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan has been cooperating with the Academy of Social Sciences of the Gansu Region and other research institutions of this country for several years, established close relations of broad cooperation and carried out several scientific and research projects in collaboration with its Chinese colleagues, one of which is the book «Tajikistan and China: from Historical Friendship to Strategic Partnership», written by outstanding Tajik and Chinese researchers.
It was noted that until now such an important work has not been created by scientists of these two neighboring countries on the history of relations and cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Tajikistan from ancient times to the present day. This book is published in Tajik, Chinese and Russian.
The director noted that we hope that the research ties between both research institutes will continue to strengthen and be effective.
Then, in connection with the publication of the book «Tajikistan-China: 30 years of effective cooperation», the director of the Center noted that this book covers the political, economic, trade and cultural ties of our countries. country with China during the period of independence. Therefore, depending on the completeness of the material and the study of the issues of the formation and development of trade and cultural ties between the Tajik and Chinese peoples, this book, first of all, is a comprehensive study based on reliable facts and has high scientific value.
According to the director’s confirmation, this book not only reflects the achievements and successes of a special and fateful area that these two cultural peoples have achieved in different centuries of cooperation, but also reflects all areas of activity, mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, the conference participants were presented with the books «Tajikistan and China: from historical friendship to strategic partnership» and «Tajikistan — China: 30 years of fruitful cooperation».
