On March 27, 2024, an online meeting was held between the director of the Center for strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the director of the International Institute of Central Asia, Javlon Abduzhalolovich Vakhobov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral research, information and analytical cooperation.
First of all, director Usmonzoda Khayridin congratulated his colleague on his appointment as director of this institute and expressed confidence that under his leadership, scientific and analytical cooperation between both institutes will continue to develop and expand.
In turn, Zhavlon Abdujalolovich Vakhobov expressed satisfaction with the close and productive relations between the parties in recent years and called further strengthening of joint analytical and expert ties in the interests of both countries. He emphasized that on april 8-9 of this year, together with other representatives of the analytical circles of Uzbekistan, he plans to make a working visit to Tajikistan and discuss in detail the current situation and prospects for relations between the two countries with tajik experts.
Director Usmonzoda Khayriddin welcomed this initiative of his colleague and considered it very important for discussing a range of issues of bilateral cooperation and further expanding friendly relations between the two fraternal countries.
The parties also agreed to hold a joint international conference on the topic “Uzbekistan and Tajikistan: new prospects for strategic partnership and alliance.”
The meeting was held in the spirit of sincerity, mutual understanding and constructive dialogue.
