In modern conditions, the issue of the formation of patriotism of citizens, especially youth and teenagers, is considered one of the priorities of the state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, and it should create a favorable basis for the development of youth.

Patriotism is a person’s love for the motherland, land and people, protection from the enemy and faithful service for the benefit of the people and the nation. Patriotism is a social feeling that expresses love and loyalty to the motherland, pride to the history of the past and present achievements, understanding of unity and compatriotism.

The issue of patriotism is the most important criterion of professional and public activity and the main factor of unification of all forces of society, which from the depths of history until today, all historical traditions, religious values and common sense of humanity praise and honor this value.

The legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan on the education of patriotism of citizens is based on the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan and consists of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the education of patriotism of citizens» and other normative legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as international legal acts recognized by Tajikistan.

According to the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, parents are responsible for the education and upbringing of their children and adult and able-bodied children for the care and social support of parents.

According to Article 11, Clause 4 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the Education of Citizens’ Patriotism», «The family occupies a special place as the primary level in the system of patriotism education». That is, according to the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan, the family is considered one of the main subjects of patriotism education.

Article 5 of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On the responsibility of parents in the education and upbringing of children» obliges the parents first of all, then the teacher, the state and the society. Education and upbringing of children is the duty of parents, teachers, state and society. The duty of parents is to create material, financial, moral and psychological conditions for proper education and upbringing of children.

In this context, especially mothers have a significant contribution in raising the sense of patriotism of youth and tunagers. The entire humanity that a woman gives birth to, of course, the first upbringing also depends on it. Not only the well-being of every family, but also the well-being of the state and society originates from the mission of women and mothers.

Regarding the primary and effective position of a woman-mother in the education of an individual, a personality, there are dozens and hundreds of examples in our literature of more than a thousand years.

Imam Muhammad al-Ghazali Tusi said in his great work «Nasihat-ul-Muluk»: «Parents are like a source, if its water is clean, the downstream will be clean.»

From this point of view, it is necessary for parents to give proper education and upbringing to their children, to form and develop good human moral qualities in them. In order for a child to receive proper education in the family, first of all, it is necessary that the family itself is well organized.

Children connect with society through mother’s education. In childhood, children’s minds are like a mirror, and everything they see in the behavior and speech of their parents, teachers and environment will reflect it in the future. It is during this sensitive period that the role of mothers and women is extremely important.

Raising the young generation in the spirit of patriotism, hard work, protection of national values requires high responsibility from mothers. The main purpose of a woman and mother should not only be to give birth to children, but the main purpose of dear women and mothers should be the good upbringing of children, to develop and enlightened children as a personality.

If we look at the current policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, all measures have been taken to increase the position of women in society, we only need to take measures to enfighten women. Because a chaste, intelligent, educated and courageous woman can raise children loyal to this nation and state, not an uneducated graduate.

«During the years of independence, the Government of the country has implemented many beneficial measures in order to support women and girls and increase their position in the society. Now, 25 percent of the total number of civil servants, including management personnel, are women and almost 20 percent.

The establishment of presidential grants has contributed to the expansion of business activities of women and girls, and they, along with improving their family conditions, are now having a significant impact on the development of the country’s economy. In 2022, more than 600 thousand women and girls were given loans by banking institutions in the amount of more than 3 billion 400 million somoni, which is 2.4 times more than in 2018. In general, in the last five years, the amount of loans offered to women amounted to 12.1 billion somoni. The mentioned numbers are a clear evidence of the activeness of women in the country’s economy.

In the last 21 years, more than 504 thousand girls and women have graduated from institutions of all levels of vocational education and found jobs.

From this account, 239,000 of them received higher education, and now another 100,000 girls are studying in institutions of higher professional education.

The appeal of the student who, during the meeting with the head of state, announced her readiness to serve in the armed forces of the Republic of Tajikistan, is worthy of praise and proves the high sense of patriotism of young women at the time of independence. Because the conditions of globalization double the responsibility of our women and mothers. However, it is a pity that in response to all these concerns of the Government of the country today, there are women who use methods that are rejected in the culture of the Tajik nation and have a bad effect on the children’s morale.

It is surprising that these actions are spread on social networks and bring honor to the Tajik mother. Killing of husbands by women, beating of minor children by mothers are such examples that we can see widely in social networks recently. Is it possible to expect that such women and mothers could raise worthy heirs of Sino and Rudaki? Today, with the increase in the position of women in society, women should not forget their original mission, that is, to be housewives and loving mothers.

At the same time, there is a large number of women who are involved in immoral acts, night-marching, murder, theft, robbery and prostitution in the society.

Alienation, which is a threat to our national statehood, is often observed among some women. Turning to the Western culture, many women, unaware of our rich culture and nationality, have been trapped. At a time when UNESCO is honoring our precious culture, it is a shame to use foreign culture. It is the responsibility of every Tajik mother to respect and preserve the language we call «mothertongue», but unfortunately, in some parts of the country, these national values are neglected by young mothers.

It should be noted that today in our society the level of education of some parents (especially young parents) is decreasing to some extent. There are even some young mothers who do not know the most necessary song for a child and the song that has raised many generations of our people in the spirit of humanity, hard work, patriotism, courage and heroism, so that they can sing it at the baby’s crib. Now, raising a child begins with «Allah» of the mother, caressing his soul, strengthening his strength, and strengthening the foundations of his spiritual world. This is at a time when modern conditions demand that mothers place the traces of their Tajik ancestors in the hearts of their children.

A mother’s dreams and good intentions towards her child are fully embodied in the song «Alla». Mothers, by this means, bring up a sense of courage, bravery, fearlessness and zeal in their children.

Therefore, if we want to increase the sense of patriotism of the society, we must first of all increase the patriotism of women. An African-born teacher named James Emman Kwegir Aggrey is of the opinion that «If you have educated a man, then you have educated a person.» But if you educate a girl, then you educate a nation.»

The pure human nature and virtuous virtue of the Tajik woman has always had a special position and immense respect. In the image of a good Tajik woman, there is always beauty and elegance, chastity and manners, modesty and happiness, and it is these virtues that are considered the guide and pathfinder of every person.

The pure human nature and virtuous virtue of the Tajik woman has always had a special position and immense respect. In the image of a good Tajik woman, there is always beauty and elegance, chastity and manners, modesty and happiness, and it is these virtues that are considered the guide and pathfinder of every person.

We will not go far, let’s take a look at our neighboring country, Afghanistan. After the current government came to power, the lives of Afghan women and girls changed completely and closed the doors of schools to girls and deprived women of other rights and freedoms. Today, an Afghan woman cannot go back to work or go out without a man. It is forbidden for girls over 12 years old to study in schools, and women and girls for studying in universities must wear black tops and boys and girls study separately.

Brave Tajik women in different historical periods have strived for freedom, peace and progress of the society, and with their sincere affection, they have occupied a worthy position among the people. In order to protect her honor and thus position herself in the society, the Tajik woman constantly tried and worked day and night for the stability of the state and nation, language, customs, and raising children in a pure human spirit.

It is surprising that in the peaceful atmosphere of the country, the children of the brave Tajik mother refuse to protect and defend the Motherland and create problems for the state. The appeal of young women who are ready to serve should be a shame for our young men, because the situation today has brought our women to a place to think about the protection of the country.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I would like to appeal to young Tajik women and girls and say that let’s appreciate the peace and unity, peace and tranquility, and the status and place that we have in the current state policy and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. By becoming a leader, let’s not forget the duty of our faith and conscience to raise children, and put respect for the opposite gender in the first place, and protect their position and place both in the family and in society.

The primary duty of a mother is to prepare her child in the spirit of patriotism and service to the Motherland. Only a sister can become the pride of a brother and send him to the defense of the country, only the love of a lover can keep him on the border line. So, by realizing all these powers and abilities, dear ladies, do not be neutral, protect your cultural and national values and encourage your loved ones to be loyal and protect the borders and land of the Motherland.
