On May 15, 2023, at the Center for strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was held a meeting of the Director of the Center Khayriddin Usmonzoda with the High Commissioner of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe on Affairs with National Minorities Kairat Abdurakhmonov.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Director of the Center, Khayriddin Usmonzoda, welcomed the guest to Tajikistan and gave brief information about the main areas of the Center’s activity. It was mentioned that the Center for strategic research , as an analytical and consulting institution, analyzes and studies critical and strategic issues. The Center cooperates with the think tank centers of the countries of the region and the world during the promotion of its activities and organizes joint round tables, seminars and conferences within the framework of bilateral relations. Also, comprehensive cooperation with regional and international organizations has been launched. It was especially emphasized that within the framework of the cooperation of the Center with other think tank institutions of the region and the world, the following and consideration of the topics of protection of political stability, ensuring national security, ensuring sustainable economic development, development of modern means of prevention and elimination of modern risks and threats have a priority status.
Then, the High Commissioner of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe for Affairs with National Minorities, Kairat Abdurakhmonov, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized that the Republic of Tajikistan, as an independent and legal state with a justice-oriented legislative system and a constructive policy, was able to ensure the rights and ensure the freedoms of all citizens and create a decent and worthy life.
The High Commissioner of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe for Affairs with National Minorities, Kairat Abdurakhmonov, expressed his opinion on the issue of national minorities in Tajikistan and noted that the scientific and realistic policy of the President of Tajikistan ensured the equality of all citizens, including national minorities in the country.
Regarding the role of the Leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan his excellency Emomali Rahmon in the development of Tajikistan and the region, Kairat Abdurakhmonov expressed his opinion and emphasized that “The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellency Emomali Rahmon, is the best politician not only in Central Asia, but also the best politician in the world. Emomali Rahmon’s constructive vision, practical experience and humanitarian diplomacy are used by the world as a great example. The international initiatives of Emomali Rahmon and the holding of world-class events are undeniable proof of the above-mentioned ideas.” By the way, the High Commissioner of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe for Affairs with National Minorities, Kairat Abdurakhmonov, expressed his satisfaction and good impression of the meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellency Emomali Rahmon.
At the end of the meeting, the issue of establishing scientific and research cooperation, holding round tables on the subject of national minorities between the Center for strategic research and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe was considered appropriate.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and mutual understanding.
