On January 19, 2023, the heads of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan held a meeting.
The director of CSR Usmonzoda Khayriddin is a well-known sociologist in Tajikistan. Regarding this, the director of KazISS Yerkin Tukumov has offered to consider the possibility of conducting joint sociological research to analyze the public sentiments of both countries and the values that unite the peoples.
Usmonzoda Khayriddin has supported his Kazakhstan colleague’s idea to organize cross-regional surveys and offered his suggestions for relevant measurements of public opinion. He emphasized that this initiative is timely and will contribute to a better comprehension of social processes in Central Asia.
Overall, the meeting participants highlighted the positive dynamics of growth in bilateral relations and the prospects for further cooperation. The parties agreed to strengthen relations between the analytical centers of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
