On April 13, 2022 a working meeting was held between the Director of the Center for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Khayriddin Usmonzoda and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Tajikistan Kwon Dong Seok. In the meeting were also attended the deputy director of the Center P. Mukhammadzoda, head of the foreign policy analysis and forecasting Department of the Center’s Bakhtiyor Kholikov, and representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Murod Buriboev.
At the beginning of meeting director of the Center for strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Khayriddin Usmonzoda, welcomed the Ambassador and highly marked the friendly relations between Tajikistan and Korea. During the meeting director of the Center informed the Ambassador about the main directions of Center’s activity. He was also noted that the promotion of research ties with the brain trusts of other countries is one of the main priorities of the Center for strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was noted that within the framework of cooperation of the think tanks the holding of seminars, round tables and scientific conferences in various directions as a practical experience become a tradition.
The issue of establishing of research cooperation between the brain trusts of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea was emphasized and the holding of scientific events was appropriated.
During the conversation, the director of the Center noted the state of diplomatic relations between the two Republics and highly appreciated the contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr Emomali Rahmon and the leadership of the Republic of Korea for strengthening bilateral relations in various fields, including cooperation in the field of science and research.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Tajikistan Kwon Dong Seok expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and readiness of the Korean side to establish mutually beneficial cooperation to develop scientific relations with the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and at a high level of relations between the two countries.
