AWARDS OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was decorated with high awards and honorary titles in different years.

Taking into account the great contribution to the revival and strengthening of the new statehood of Tajikistan, and the maintenance of peace in Tajikistan, the President of the country Emomali Rahmon, by the decision of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan on December 11, 1999, was awarded the highest title of Hero of Tajikistan.

In 1999, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was awarded the Order of the Star of the President of Tajikistan, I degree, for outstanding services to the people of Tajikistan, for strengthening peace and developing the Tajik statehood, for especially important merits in state and socio-political activities that contribute to enhancing the international image of Tajikistan, for grandiose achievements in the socio-economic spheres, science and culture, development of society and social progress, incomparable patriotic merits.

Emomali Rahmon’s merits in the cause of formation of a new Tajik state are very great and historic.

The grateful Tajik people, in honor of the selfless struggle in the name of building a modern Tajik state, declared him the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation.

Indeed, the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation”, which was adopted on December 9, 2015 by the deputies of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, is a fair and historic act.

The adoption of the Law “On the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation” by the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan is a clear sign of sincere reverence by the Tajik people for the crucial deeds of Emomali Rahmon and expresses the pride and gratitude of the people to their world-famous son, and these deeds will forever be inscribed in the pages our history.

For his invaluable contribution, constructive efforts and consistent endeavors in the path to enhancing the multifaceted interstate relations, global initiatives, inestimable merits in the expanding of cooperation, ensuring security, peace and stability all over the world, strengthening friendship among nations and peoples, multi-vector humanitarian, social and cultural bonds during the period of independence, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon won high honors and awards of state and international organizations around the world. The President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was awarded the Order of the International Olympic Committee “For the development of the Olympic movement” (October 16, 2003), the Order of the Olympic Council of Asia “For outstanding services” (October 16, 2003), the symbolic badge of the 5th Dan Black Belt karate-do (September 24, 2005), the Order of the Olympic Council of Asia (April 8, 2009), the Chinese Olympic Committee Gold Medal (June 6, 2012) and the 9th Dan Black Belt Honorary Medal with the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF) certificate (May 23, 2013) for outstanding services in the development of the field of sports, making a significant contribution to the development of the Olympic movement, the constant support of athletes, the creation and reconstruction of sports facilities, assistance in organizing and holding regional and international sports competitions in Tajikistan.
