PRESIDENT EMOMALI RAHMON MEETS WITH PRIME MINISTER OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION MIKHAIL MISHUSTIN

DUSHANBE, 04.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 4, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, met with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Honourable Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The meeting discussed issues related to the development of strategic partnership and allied relations between Tajikistan and Russia.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, stated that we can achieve even greater progress through joint efforts.

Much attention was paid to the implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Russian Federation, which took place in March of this year, and the signed documents. In particular, the development of cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, and economic ties in general was in the spotlight.

The expansion of relations in the fields of science and education, healthcare, culture, and sports were also considered important areas of cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the successful conduct of the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan in the cities of Moscow and Kazan, Russian Federation.

An exchange of views also took place on the agenda of the meeting of the Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the priorities of Tajikistan’s chairmanship in this organization.
