THE CENTER FOR STRATEGIC RESEARCH UNDER THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN AND THE INTERNATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR CENTRAL ASIA SIGNED AN ACTION PLAN FOR 2025–2026

On May 1, 2025, the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) signed a joint Action Plan for 2025–2026. The plan aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of strategic studies, promote sustainable development, and jointly address pressing environmental challenges, including climate change and the preservation of natural resources.

The approved Action Plan outlines bilateral consultations ahead of key international events, participation in high-level forums and conferences, organization of working visits, and implementation of academic exchanges. Special attention will be given to sustainable water resource management, glacier preservation, and adaptation to a changing climate. The cooperation also includes the preparation of joint publications and analytical materials on priority regional issues.

The document was signed by Khayriddin Usmonzoda, Director of the Center for Strategic Research, and Javlon Vakhabov, Director of IICA. During the signing ceremony, both sides expressed mutual interest in implementing the Plan’s provisions and emphasized the importance of coordinating research efforts to enhance regional resilience and develop cross-border dialogue.

The signing of the Action Plan opens new opportunities for expanding expert and institutional cooperation, promotes the consolidation of efforts within international initiatives, and strengthens the potential for strategic partnership between two key analytical centers in Central Asia.
