The Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khairidin Usmonzoda, made an online presentation on the topic “The contribution of young Tajiks to the Great Patriotic War: exploits at the front and in the rear.”
Speaking at an International scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, Khairidin Usmonzoda stressed that “When the war began, the Tajik SSR was a young republic, still forming its industrial and social structure. However, this did not become an obstacle to the republic’s full and dedicated participation in the common cause of protecting the Motherland. Since the first days of the war, the people of Tajikistan have perceived the tragedy as a personal pain, as a common challenge requiring unity, courage and determination.”
It was noted that “Shoulder to shoulder with representatives of other Union republics, the Tajik people stood up for the defense of the Fatherland, not sparing their lives and efforts for a prosperous future. Despite limited resources and difficulties, the republic mobilized all the resources it had at its disposal: people, materials, and will. This massive upsurge became a vivid testimony not only of patriotism, but also of the maturity of the young republic, ready to contribute to the fateful struggle against fascism.”
At the end of his speech, the Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan noted that “Today, when we live under a peaceful sky, we must not just remember, but comprehend the price that the people of Tajikistan paid for this Victory. To remember not only on the eve of holidays and anniversaries, but daily in actions, in deeds, in the education of our children and in the preservation of historical memory.”
