VISIT OF THE DELEGATION OF THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA AND SIGNING OF A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

From April 22 to 24, 2025, an official visit of the delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tajikistan took place. As part of this visit, on April 24, 2025, a meeting was held between the Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khairidin Usmonzoda, and the Rector of the Prince Saud al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mushabbab Al-Qahtani. Also participating in the meeting were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Tajikistan, Waleed bin Abdurrahman Alreshaidon and Head of Asia Unit of the Prince Saud al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ali Al Qarni.

Director of the Center, Khairidin Usmonzoda, began the meeting by welcoming the distinguished guests and expressing his gratitude for their visit to Tajikistan. He presented the guests with information about the key areas of activity and the guiding principles of the Center.

Dr. Mushabbab Al-Qahtani, in turn, expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of the Center for the warm reception and hospitality. He emphasized that the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Tajikistan are characterized by openness, trust, and sincerity, with fruitful scientific and analytical cooperation serving as a vivid example of this.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the further development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia. Special attention was given to the current state and future prospects of scientific and analytical cooperation. In particular, the parties explored opportunities for cooperation in the training of specialists and the exchange of internships for young researchers.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Prince Saud al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It was noted that the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation represents a significant step toward further expanding and deepening scientific and analytical collaboration between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to strengthen cooperation between the two countries’ analytical institutions.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of sincerity, mutual understanding, and constructive dialogue.
