SIGNING OF A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION
Within the framework of the Central Asian Security Forum on the topic “The Architecture of Security in Central Asia: Modern Challenges, Threats and Strategic Opportunities,” a meeting was held on April 30, 2026, between the Director of the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Khayriddin Usmonzoda, and the Director of the Center for Foreign Policy Research and International Initiatives under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sanjar Valiev.
During the meeting, the Director of the Center for Strategic Research , Khayriddin Usmonzoda , welcomed the other party and invited them to participate in the 3rd Forum of Think Tanks of the Republic of Korea and Central Asian countries, which will take place in June 2026, as well as in the Fergana Peace Forum scheduled for September 2026.
The parties discussed a proposal to organize a video conference between young experts of the two centers on the topic “Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the Context of Global Transformations.”
Particular attention was paid to the current state and prospects for further cooperation between the two institutions.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Center for Foreign Policy Research and International Initiatives under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
