PARTICIPATION AND SPEECH OF THE FIRST DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE CENTER AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF CENTRAL ASIAN EXPERTS
On August 14-15, 2025, an international conference of Central Asian experts was held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, on the topic “Central Asia – a common space of trust, security, and sustainable development,” in which participated the first deputy director of the Center, Oraz Murtazozoda.
The conference was organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy in Central Asia, the European Union Delegation to Uzbekistan, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
For the first time, famous experts from the European Union, ASEAN, the Nordic Council, as well as researchers from Russia, the US, the UK, Switzerland, and Azerbaijan took part in the VIII Central Asian Experts Forum to share their experiences. At the same time, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Abdujabbor Rahmonzoda, also took part.
In connection with the individual events held, the Forum included a scientific and practical conference on the formation of regional identity and a round table dedicated to the prospects of creating a partnership in the format “Central Asia – Northern Europe”. In the first section of the forum, “Contemporary Middle Asia: Improving Regional Partnerships.” first deputy director of the Center Oraz Murtazozoda spoke on the theme “The Role of Tajikistan in the Regional Production Chain”.

In his speech, he noted that “Currently, the agenda includes the issue of expanding and strengthening cooperation between countries in the region, which contributes to sustainable economic development and improving the standard of living and quality of life of the population. In recent years, the dynamics of indicators show a steady upward trend, confirming not only the strengthening of economic ties, but also the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation and the increasing role of regional partners in ensuring the sustainable development of the national economy”.
In addition, the first deputy director of the Center, Oraz Murtazozoda, spoke at a round table entitled “Prospects for the development of cooperation in the format of Middle Asia and Northern Europe” on the topic “Prospects for the development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Northern Europe”.
At the end of his speech, he noted that “The formation of the format of “Central Asia–Northern Europe expert cooperation” opens up wide opportunities for countries to strengthen the level and prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation, effectively solve common problems in the fields of economics, ecology and innovation through the exchange of experience and knowledge and other priority areas”.
