On May 28, 2025, the Center for Strategic Research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted an official meeting between the Director of the Center, Khairidin Usmonzoda and the Chairman of the University Council of the Chinese University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), Mr. Jiang Zeting.
During the visit, two key bilateral documents were signed: a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation, as well as a Cooperation Program aimed at specifying mechanisms for implementing joint initiatives in the medium term.
The signed documents cover a wide range of areas of cooperation, including joint research projects, academic exchange, organization of international scientific events, implementation of short-term educational programs, research internships and preparation of joint analytical publications. The main focus will be on international relations, regional and global security, comparative law, and sustainable development issues in the context of modern global challenges.
The parties also confirmed their commitment to the ideas of academic diplomacy, open scientific dialogue and mutual strengthening of research potential. The implementation of the agreements reached creates a solid foundation for an institutionalized and long-term partnership between the analytical and educational structures of Tajikistan and China.
The signing of the documents marked a significant stage in strengthening bilateral cooperation, including through international platforms such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the Belt and Road Initiative.
